SUMMARY

It is difficult to summarize this trek in a few words.

In the end we finished off the adventure with two days of transit (from Huaraz to Lima and eventually back home from Lima to Toronto), and in the middle of it all we managed to do what all good tourists do and that is: shopping. We all loaded up with Quechua artifacts and Alpaca clothing; the prices were more than reasonable.

If we need to sum up our experience, I would say Peru is a land rich in culture and natural beauty. It is also very affordable. But most of all, the part that for me capped it all, Peru is the land of a proud people that understands hospitality and kindness. A people which we all hope is destined to protect their incredible heritage.

I for one would gladly do it all again!
